Food Safety Magazine: Sahale Snacks Addresses Product Recalls and Traceability

We are delighted to see our customer Sahale Snacks featured in Food Safety Magazine in the article “U.S. Nut Snack Manufacturer Upgrades Business Software to Better Trace Products and Enable Recalls.

The full-length feature article discusses how Sahale has improved traceability and the ability to do product recalls at their Seattle, WA facility with the implementation of their JustFoodERP system. The result has been optimized business processes and efficiencies to better meet strict regulatory compliance enforced by both the U.S. government and their larger retail customers.

As Lindsay Palmer, Sahale’s project lead for the implementation, says in the Food Safety Magazine article, product traceability and product recalls functionality was one of the top priorities in their ERP selection. “We needed a software and services company with enough of a food clientele base and food expertise that they would grow with us. As the new regulations come in for food, as the industry changes, our system has to be able to make the needed changes.”

Palmer adds that their choice was based on the fact that “JustFoodERP uses a product roadmap that is so compatible with where we are going as a company, such as the product recalls and traceability features, as well as “more manufacturing-friendly scheduling tools,” as she puts it.

Sahale Snacks is a valued customer of ours. I was happy to be able to break bread and lift a drink with the folks from Sahale at our 2012 JustFoodERP User Event in Vegas recently. We love working with you, Sahale!
